New pictures and information are always welcome.

File Formats

Images submitted for inclusion in the Firearms Image Library must be in either GIF or JPEG image formats. When submitting a picture or information please specify whether you would like your name and E-Mail address stated at the bottom of the information sheet. Note that the template listed below is simply a guide as to the type of information that might be appropriate in accurately describing a firearm, many of these may be inappropriate or inadequate in describing some firearms (ie stock length may not be appropriate for the description of a pistol), if you have information about a firearm which does not fit into this template please submit it for inclusion in the Image Library.

Name of the Firearm

Description: briefly describe the firearms type and purpose

Country of Origin: name the country where the firearm was invented
Manufacturer: name the manufacturer of the firearm

Caliber: state the calibre of the firearm
Feed: state type of feed device used and capacity

Modes of Fire: state
Cyclic Rate: state the maximum (cyclic) rate of fire of the firearm in Rounds Per Minute (RPM)
Mechanism:
Safety:

Sights: state the type of sight normally used on the particular firearm

Sight Radius: for mechanical sights state the distance between the front and rear sight

Length: state the length of the firearm including details such as the type of stock (fixed or folding) and whether the stock is folded or extended
Width: state the width of the firearm. Height: state the height of the firearm specifying whether this includes the magazine
Weight: state the weight of the firearm specifying whether this is with the magazine

Barrel: state the type of barrel
Barrel Length: state the length of the barrel (not including flash hider)

Stock: state the type and material used in the stock
Finish: state the finish of the reciever
Grips: state the type of grip fitted

Any general information about the firearm including details of the firearms history should go in here at the bottom of the specifications.
