The SP89 is the semi-auto civilian version of the MP5K. It lacks the full-auto trigger group and the extremely dangerous, in the eyes of the BATF, k grip(vertical forearm). A modified k-grip with the vertical handle removed and the over all length of the tube lengthen to reduce the chance of a hand slipping over the barrel is used instead.
